Dialogue ââ¬ÅModern Attitude to Love and Marriageââ¬Â Essay
* Hi, Lucy! Do you know Johnny and I are getting married? * Oh, great! I think itââ¬â¢s about time. You have been living together forâ⬠¦forâ⬠¦ * For 6 years. * Yes, for 6 years already. Iââ¬â¢m so happy for you, Sarah! * And Iââ¬â¢m so happy for myself too! * And are you going to have a gorgeous wedding ceremony? * No, Johnny and I are going to register our marriage at the Registry Office. No wedding ceremony, no veil and no bridesmaids. * I got it. But how could you force Johnny to marry you? I know he is supporter of free love. * Yes, but as youââ¬â¢ve said before we have been living for 6 years already. He is used to my wishes and Iââ¬â¢m used to his habits. And after all he has steadied down. * It means that heââ¬â¢s not such philanderer as before, isnââ¬â¢t he? * Iââ¬â¢m not sure but I hope. * Well, he is from the ââ¬Ë90s generation. And I think itââ¬â¢s the reason for all problems. * But the same I can say about you and about me. We belong to this generation too. * Yes, but you know that men are more light-minded in relations than women. Moreover, they are more inclined to be unfaithful. And talking about the ââ¬Ë90s generationâ⬠¦well, I reckon itââ¬â¢s the most immoral and dissolute generation. * Partly youââ¬â¢re right. Fidelity means nothing nowadays. But at the same time you have more freedom. For example, sex doesnââ¬â¢t necessarily involve marriage. * You do see it, itââ¬â¢s better for men again. You know the majority of men donââ¬â¢t need the wedlock at all; they are completely content to be free and to have sex with anybody. But women are more serious in relations, thatââ¬â¢s why all of them still want to be married by thirty years. * Yes, youââ¬â¢re right of course. But anyway there were some advantages as a result of the sexual revolution. For example you can have sex before marriage; I think itââ¬â¢s a great freedom for everybody. * Well, itââ¬â¢s indisputable. As for me, so Iââ¬â¢m quite old-fashioned person. You know I want absolute faithfulness in my relationship. Itââ¬â¢s very important for me when my partner and I can talk with each other, and itââ¬â¢s even insulting when my boyfriend fools around with anybody else. * I see. But I donââ¬â¢t share your point of view. Iââ¬â¢m sure itââ¬â¢s necessarily to give some freedom to your husband. You stake yourà partner by limiting his freedom so strictly. Loving a person means allowing him to be himself. * Maybe youââ¬â¢re right. In any case I consider that a steady relationship is based on trust, understanding and faithfulness. * Well, I wonââ¬â¢t make you change your mind. But if you, suspicious of your husband unfaithfulness, keep complaining, weeping and nagging, I can assure you your spouse will commit adultery with more probability. * Iââ¬â¢m with you here. Now I want to ask you about your future life with Johnnie. Have you decided already where you would live? * Donââ¬â¢t you know that he has his own apartment? * Really? Itââ¬â¢s awesome!à * Yes, he is a very independent, self-made man. Iââ¬â¢m so proud of him! * Yes, young people stand on their two feet earlier today than they did in the past. I believe thatââ¬â¢s great. * Thatââ¬â¢s where youââ¬â¢re right! I reckon that young people should think about marriage only after they have become independent of their parents. * As for women, so Iââ¬â¢m sure they have to complete their education, build labor force skills and develop career interests before getting married. * Too true. Actually itââ¬â¢s normal for the modern world, especially for urbanized countries that people postpone marriage in order to build a career and make a fortune. * Unfortunately, there is the other side of the coin. These career interests may, in turn, motivate women to limit family size. Thatââ¬â¢s why we have such a low birth rate in all developed countries. * Oh, I agree entirely. Itââ¬â¢s too bad. Oh, I canââ¬â¢t help worrying about our living together! * Calm down and donââ¬â¢t talk nonsense. You have been living for 6 years and now youââ¬â¢re worrying! * Yes, but it wasnââ¬â¢t a wedlock, but only a cohabitation. * Donââ¬â¢t worry! I think people should get know each other well before getting married. And I believe your marriage will be successful and strong. * So do I. But anyway Iââ¬â¢m afraid that all these mere formalities and papers will spoil our relations. * If you really love each other then there is nothing to worry about. Sarah, when are you going to have a baby? Have you discussed already this question with Johnnie? * Oh, Iââ¬â¢m so happy that I have Johnnie! He is just an ideal man. Besides, he adores kids. He wants to have a big family. Can you imagine he wants to have four children, two girls and two boys! * And what about you? You know childbearing spoils aà figure. Do you want to put on weight and have cellulite? * Oh, I think itââ¬â¢s very silly to think about such trifles of life. You have only one life and Iââ¬â¢m sure you should devote your life to children. Iââ¬â¢ve had enough time for living it up. Now Iââ¬â¢m almost 27 and I want to give all my love to my children and my husband. * I see. Itââ¬â¢s such a wise decision. But as for me, so I wouldnââ¬â¢t want to have so many kids. It will be enough to have only two children. But also Iââ¬â¢d like to adopt an orphan child. * Really? Itââ¬â¢s very brave of you. * Yes, I really want to love and raise a child, which was deprived of motherly love. And whatââ¬â¢s your parentsââ¬â¢ attitude to your forthcoming marriage. * You know my mom considers immoral to live with the man under the same roof if heââ¬â¢s not your husband. And my father is the opponent of the common-law marriage. * So they must be really delighted with this news.

Statistical Process Control
Standard Operating Procedure for inline Q. A, using Statistical Process Control charts OBJECTIVE To remove or minimize, cost of poor quality. SCOPE This procedure is applicable for all kind of critical points for which variable charts are being made to know about the process stability. RESPONSIBILITY 1) Q. A. Manager Q. A. Manager is responsible for allotting the critical points in a particular product to in line Q. A. ââ¬â¢s. 2) A. Q. M. A. Q. M. is responsible for carrying out the SPC effectively in their given lines. He is also responsible to assist the in line QAââ¬â¢s in case of any difficulty. 3) In Line Q. A. ââ¬â¢s In line Q. A. ââ¬â¢s are responsible to fill the variable chart correctly and take appropriate actions required after depicting the charts. PROCEDURE ? One Variable chart is to be prepared against each critical point. ? Take 5 samples at random produced in a particular hour and start measuring critical points on each sample. ? Write down the measurement difference as per the size-measurement specification given on variable chart in the period of that hour. After the five pieces are inspected, find out the median and range of these five readings by the following method. o Arrange the data in ascending order and write down the third no. in the median array for that particular hour. o To calculate range note down the difference between the maximum reading and minimum reading of that particular hour. Write it down in the range array. ? Calculate Upper Control Limit and Lower Control Limit by using the following formula: o Calculate X Bar for previous days 8 hours reading by following formulaX1+X2+X3+X4+X5+X6+X7+X8 X = 8 Where X1 â⬠¦.. X8 are the median readings for previous day 8 hour. o Calculate R for previous days 8 hours reading by following formula R1+R2+R3+R4+R5+R6+R7+R8 R= 8 Where R1 â⬠¦.. R8 are the range readings for previous day 8 hour. o UCL and LCL for median chart will be calculated by the given formula: __ UCL = X +0. 691* R LCL = X-0. 691 * R o UCL and LCL for Range chart will be calculated by the given formula: UCL = 2. 14 * R LCL = 0 * R ? Now once limits of median chart as well as range chart are calculated start marking the points of median and range on the median and range graph respectively that to corresponding to that particular hour. ? If any point is found to lie outside the control limits, immediate action should be taken to bring the process in control. ? One point should be kept in mind that process should lie somewhere near central line. It means your process is stable and predictable.

Reflection on Learning with Learning Contract
In this assignment, I need to reflect on the situation that took place during my working group. In this reflection, I am going to use Gibbs (1988) Reflective Cycle. This model is a recognised framework for my reflection. Gibbs (1988) modal of reflection consists of six stages to complete one cycle which is description, feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion and an action plan. Description I was put in groups for a week to work through a set of tasks. There was a mixture of males and females with a wide range of ages. There were some people that played a part in the group activities and there were some that did not, this was what contributed to the breakdown in communication in my group. The first day we got into groups, we had to do a learning styles questionnaire. In this questionnaire there were four types of learning styles, which where activists, reflectors, theorists and pragmatists (Honey, 1973). In my group of seven we were made up of reflectors, theorists and pragmatists.O n the second day we did a group activity about the skills knowledge and attitudes that a health care professional should have. During this task we were divided has a group even more because we all had different views on what we thought was the ideal health care professional. Day three we did a Kohlbergââ¬â¢s moral dilemma (1981) where we had to choose whether Heinz should steal the drug or not. My group was divided on whether he should steal the drug or not. On day four we did a self and peer-evaluation questionnaire. FeelingsI felt very frightened in the group setting because I preserved that I was the youngest in the group and I did not know anyone, which I was very shocked me because I am normally a very confident person. I also felt very out of place I really did not like being in a group that did not click with each other. I then started to get concerned that we would not get any of our group tasks finished. My second concern was that in a difficult situation that we might a ll argue because we all had such different views. But I was also excited to see what might have come out of the group tasks.I also think there should have been an icebreaker task; this would have eased us in. Evaluation The good experiences of the group tasks were that I learnt about myself and how other people work in small groups. It was also good to listen to other peopleââ¬â¢s opinions. It was also good to work with people I would not necessarily work with outside of these groups that were chosen for me. The bad points were that we has a group did not gel; there was a lack of communication throughout the whole week. I also think there should have been an icebreaker task. AnalysisThere were no activists in my group and I think this is why there was a breakdown in my group because activists like to be involved in new experiences. They are open minded and enthusiastic about new ideas but get bored with implementation. They enjoy doing things and tend to act first. Where reflecto rs, theorists and pragmatist are more reserved and like to think first and take a back sit (Honey, 1973). Some points of the task went well which were that as a group we found out what learning styles are and what the positives and negatives of each learning style and how we can use it to better are learning enhancement. The other members of the group also contributed on what they thought each learning style meant and if they thought it was a true representation of them. But some just did not contribute I am not sure if this was because they were shy or did not want to say the wrong thing or intimidated by the large group. Conclusion I have learnt a lot for from working in my group, I learnt to put myself in the others shoes and understand why people acted in a certain way. I came away being very emphatic and willingness to understand that not everyone is not the same. But now it has become a normal way of thinking and responding to a particular situation. So I have turned my reflecti on into learning. I have read that the more we read and think about a situation the more we can identify they importance of reflection (Boud et al, 1994). I have also learnt that ââ¬Ëââ¬Ëthe basic unit of communication is made up of a sender, a receiver and a message set within a particular contextââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬â¢ (Ellis et al, 1994, p. 4). Action plan If the situation came up again there would be a lot I would change one of hich would be more considerate to the group memberââ¬â¢s feelings. Secondly I will continue to reflect and study the causes of why things go wrong. Reflection is based on allowing us to ground our thoughts and keep us focused. This helps to prevent reflection going off the subject. (Dallas et al, 2005). I would also like feedback because feedback is vital for development and change. Feedback is important to the on-going development of us has humans. ââ¬ËFeedback is central to developing learners' competence and confidenceââ¬â¢ (londondeanery, 2010 )

Legal Memoradum Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words
Legal Memoradum - Essay Example First, the subsistence of the situational constraint (the contract) is expected to be predominantly significant, which makes a cause more likely to be professed as causal. Yes, Mr. Moran can claim damages from the two companies namely, Mining Inc and Irving Cooper, Mr. Moran just need to file the commenced actions in the State of New York because he signed the negotiation with Mining Inc in Manhattan, and at the same he also have to file for the commenced actions in Minnesota because the principal company of Coal is there. We just received a frantic telephone call from our client, Coal Corp.. (a Colorado corporation) with its principal place of business in Minnesota. In September, 2004 Coal entered into a written contract with Mining, Inc. (a Montana corporation with its principal place of business in Montana) and Irving Cooper (a private entrepreneur who resides in New Jersey) pursuant to which Mining and Mr. Cooper agreed to manufacture and install for Coal a large quantity of electronic mining equipment which Coal needs in Minnesota. Joseph Moran (who resides in Butte, Montana) executed a written guarantee in which he guaranteed the due and prompt performance by Mining and Cooper under the contract. Moran sent the guarantee to Mining in Minnesota and Mining delivered the guarantee to Coal at the time the contract was executed. Mining and Cooper manufactured some of the equipment in its Minnesota specialty plant and installed that equipment. Mining and Cooper, however, have failed to perform several of their material obligations under the contract. As a result of their breach Coal has sustained, in its estimation, more than $1,000,000 in damages. Mining and Coal negotiated the contract in Manhattan. The contract which Mining and Coal executed at Kennedy Airport provides that any action for breach must be commenced within two years from the date of the breach. Cooper executed the contract the same day in New Jersey and sent it to Coal in Minnesota. The guarantee has a similar clause requiring that an action on the guarantee he brought within two ears fi-om the date of any breach of the contract (Cheeseman, 2004). According to the preliminary information we received, the initial breach of contract occurred two years ago today. Moran claims that John Rich (who now resides in St. Paul but was an officer of Buffalo Trust Co., in Buffalo New York at the time it, Buffalo Trust, lent Mining Inc. $500,000 in early 2004) together with Cooper and Coal fraudulently induced him into signing the guarantee and defrauded him into purchasing certain assets from Mining. Discussion Contracts are frequently utilized to bind an agreement among parties in order to make sure that the agreement is fulfilled. The complexity with contracts is that they provide the transacting parties an opening to credit to their support to the contract rather than to each other's reasonable or decent intentions. Consequently, contracts may keep a tight rein on interacting parties' enthusiasm or facility to judge each other as being generous or possessing reliability, and fundamental confidence may

Creativity a literature review Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words
Creativity a literature review - Essay Example However, both definitions aren't accurate enough to describe the main two forms of creativity: the creative problem-solving and the role of social appraisal of judgment. So which to speak it itself is known as a multi-componential perspective. For instance, creativity that is seen from a human being is due to the interaction of the environment and the person his/herself. As an ongoing chain, even that isn't the true understanding of what creativity is. So as a couple of definitions , both Batey M. and Furnham A. believed it was the following: 1. Attributes of the inventive novel and useful to a particular social/cultural group. 2. Attributes to the person who came up with the idea of the product. 3. Attributes of the person assessing the creativity of the product and 4. Attributes of the environment including the following: source of evaluation, source of support, of resources, and the source of stimulation inspirable. The main target of how to establish the individual differences wa s in personality traits and intelligence. Testing personality has interacted a relationship of creativity and extraversion, openness to knowledge, and conscientiousness. When studying the creative intelligence, tests found weak relationship to psychometric intelligence. Convergent thinking is to come in or bring together while divert thinking is to turn aside from one course to another, to amuse. Studies have rated creativity to measures of intelligence to find that there were non-significant relationships. When you score quality aspects of creative answers, you get hypothesizes and tests that must be run multiple times and from there use different methods such as the following: FFM (Five Factor Model), IB (Ideational Behavior), and RIBS (Runco Ideational Behavior Scale
Pay plays a crucial role in motivating people at work. How far do you Essay
Pay plays a crucial role in motivating people at work. How far do you agree, or disagree, with this statement - Essay Example It is all very well to say that money does not matter. Actually it matters unless an individual is living in an island like Robinson Crusoe. If the person has to live in a society, with the ordinary requirements that other people have, he need to have money to have a roof over his head, to feed his family and to fulfil his and their desires and necessities. Hence, it is not possible for any person to live without money and not to appreciate its power over humans. There is nothing wrong in assuming that the most significant place at work is taken by the pay. Without pay no worker would work, unless it is a part time kind of work for charity in which he believes. Even then, he has to earn his living and no charity worker can do voluntary work full time, unless he has some other adequate income coming in. There is an important place for the pay at work and there exists a belief that pay could motivate people at work. I agree with the statement to some extent, but not fully. There are areas like Sales, where keeping people motivated without pay and incentives could be difficult. But it need not apply everywhere. Pay definitely is the source of motivation to do better work and this perhaps depends on the kind of motivation the worker is looking for. No doubt, there is an enormous impact when the minimum wage is increased; but motivation could be connected to many needs and desires. MOTIVATION "Motivation is the force that energises, directs and sustains behaviour" http://community.ocr.org.uk/core/community/public/download_filerid=202 Motivation is connected to Reinforcement Theory, Need Theory and Cognitive theories. Reinforcement could be different things to different people and cannot be applied to all. Need theory has fallen short of expectations and cannot be applied everywhere. "Research has not found much support for the theory and application of the theory to motivate workers in the workplace has fallen short of expectations. The main asset of Maslow's theory is its humanistic appeal: it projects the idea that many human needs are bound up with work, not just the need for a pay cheque as earlier theorists proposed," (ibid). But according to cognitive theories like Equity Theory, etc., workers are motivated by a desire to be treated equitably and fairly, but research shows that this too cannot be a measuring stick. Hence, motivation cannot be generalised easily, because one person's motivation need not be another person's. At the same time, it has to be connected with the organisational behaviour. Organisat ional behaviour is usually a collective behaviour and not an individual one. Just like motivation, organisational behaviour cannot be generalised, because every organisation is unique and the behaviour changes according to the organisation in which the worker is working. As the worker is always a small part of the team, his behaviour will be more of one in the crowd, and not highly individualistic. IMPORTANCE OF SALARY Pay influences people individually and collectively both. Pay perhaps is the most motivating of all the perks, with position following it closely. Money definitely motivates people to a very large extent at work. After all, people work for money and to collect wealth which provides security in life. In addition, it is the visible form of appreciation and the means of saying that his work is worth a lot for the organisation. It gives the

Buy me buy me Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Buy me buy me - Essay Example Less focus on the school commercialization does not indicate an end to it, rather it can be an indication of increases acceptance of this marketing practice. Molnarââ¬â¢s audience here is the district governemnt, educational institutes, parents and students. Molnar also impliedly communicates to the community and government at large. In the article we find a lack of governmental policies and their implication along with a similar blind conscience of community. By making this deficiency apparent in his article, Molnar emphasizes for the promotion of an active resistance on all levels. His persuasive argumentation is casting a strong glimmer of reprimand for the advertising industries. The objective of the article is to evoke an active resistance against the school commercialism and to make it clear that school commercialism has not disappeared yet. In the support of his stance against the prevailing misperception, as he clarifies that it may have only been due to the acceptance of increasing commercialization in educational institutes, as he mentions that "Of particular note again this year was the lack of voice in the education media on commercializing activity in schools" (Molnar and Reaves, 2001). The articleââ¬â¢s purpose also is to jolt the authorities of educational institutes and the district governments to stir their ethical educational conscience. The school marketing is misleading the young generation and thereby jeopardizing the future of our country. Molnar aims to highlight the still prevailing unworthy cost of such commercialization, as was the case of Philio Morriss textbook program that was advertising smoking at a subliminal level (Molnar and Reaves, 2001). The article intends to evoke awareness in schools and institutions against the persuasive strategies of the industries, to make the institutes aware of the meager benefits and abundant
